‘RINO TRAITOR!’ MAGA Flips Out Over Now Deleted Tweet Claiming McConnell Told Trump Team ‘There Will Be No Recess Appointments’

Supporters of President-elect Donald Trump freaked out on Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) after a now-deleted tweet claimed he spoke out against recess appointments for Trump’s nominees.
On Sunday evening, New Yorker staff writer Jane Mayer wrote in the post on X, “Message to Team Trump: ‘There will be no recess appointments’ Sen. Mitch McConnell said tonight at a Washington gathering.”
Recently, Trump’s nominees have faced significant pushback as many pundits doubt some of them will receive enough support from Republican senators to make it through the confirmation process.
Incoming Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), a McConnell ally, told reporters after his election last week as leader that recess appointments are “on the table” to get Trump’s picks through the Senate.
However, the Sunday evening news about McConnell from the now-deleted tweet caused outrage among pro-Trump users on X. One user labeled McConnell a “RINO TRAITOR.”
