Skip Bayless Confirms He’s Leaving Fox Sports After 8 Years — Will ‘Pursue Other Opportunities’
Skip Bayless confirmed minutes after Friday’s episode of Undisputed that he is leaving Fox Sports after eight years with the network.
Two weeks ago, the New York Post reported that Bayless would soon leave Fox Sports’ flagship debate show. His exit came less than a year after the show was revamped following the departure of Shannon Sharpe.
“Today was my last show on Undisputed,” Bayless tweeted as soon as the show went off the air. “I’m leaving FS1. I’ve been planning to pursue other opportunities for several months. I had a great 8-year run with a lot of great people at FOX, but now I’m excited for what’s coming up. Stay tuned.”

The new version of Undisputed, which included analysts Keyshawn Johnson and Paul Pierce with a guest appearance from Lil Wayne, failed to gain significant traction in the post-Sharpe era. Though the show had always trailed ESPN’s First Take in the ratings, the gap widened when Sharpe joined the rival network months after his breakup with Fox.
It’s unknown what Fox’s plans are for the show.
