Police questioned a suspect in the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, after the man was taken into custody Monday at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Police identified the suspect as Luigi Mangione, the New York Times reported. A tipster alerted police after the man was spotted in the fast food restaurant. Police found a weapon similar to the one used in the shooting and several fake IDs.

Thompson, 50, was gunned down early Wednesday last week in midtown Manhattan. He was shot multiple times outside the Hilton hotel where he was attending a conference.

Cops said the shooter traveled on a Greyhound bus that began its route in Atlanta and ended in New York City, where the gunman launched what police believe was a premeditated and targeted attack.

On Thursday, police released two surveillance photos of the alleged shooter checking into a nearby hostel, where he reportedly stayed for several days before the shooting.

The NYPD described the photos as those “of a person of interest wanted for questioning regarding the Midtown Manhattan homicide on Dec. 4.” In both photos, the suspect appears maskless, wearing a dark turtleneck under a brown jacket with a drawstring hood.

Police said they found ammunition at the crime scene with the words “delay,” “deny,” and “depose” written on them. The words are a reference to criticism of insurance companies refusing claims.

This is a breaking story and has been updated.
