JUST IN: Nancy Pelosi Hospitalized After Injury During WWII Memorial Trip

Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi has been hospitalized in Luxembourg after sustaining an injury while attending a World War II commemoration event.

According to Pelosi’s spokesperson Ian Krager, the 83-year-old Democratic leader was in Luxembourg as part of a bipartisan congressional delegation marking the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, one of the pivotal confrontations of the war. Pelosi’s injury occurred during an official engagement, though details about the nature of the incident were not disclosed.

“Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi sustained an injury during an official engagement and was admitted to the hospital for evaluation,” Krager said in a statement issued on Friday.

He emphasized that Pelosi is “currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals.”

“She continues to work and regrets that she is unable to attend the remainder of the CODEL engagements to honor the courage of our service members during one of the greatest acts of American heroism in our nation’s history,” the statement read.

The former speaker plans to return to the United States soon, once cleared by medical professionals. Her office has not provided further details on the injury or a timeline for her return.
