Fox Guest Blames the ‘Political Left’ For Online Hatred Aimed at Healthcare Companies
Kaylee McGhee White, a guest on Fox News on Friday, blamed the “political left” for “glorifying violence” and celebrating the assassination of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson on Friday.
Thompson was gunned down in Manhattan Wednesday as he headed to a UHC shareholder meeting without his normal security detail. At the scene, police found bullet casings with the words “delay,” “deny,” “defend,” written on them that they think alluded to a book about insurance agencies’ tactics to refuse to pay for healthcare.
On Friday’s edition of Outnumbered, White said, “The alleged reference to the book about health care policy that was left on those bullet cases, that’s an important point, because that’s a book that proposes socialist policies for health care.”
She continued:
There seems to be a notable connection between the people who are celebrating what appears to be a deliberate assassination with the people who celebrated the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, and the people who glorified violence on college campuses across the country. And you put all these threats together, and what is very apparent is that the political left has become a movement that uses violence and glorifies violence as a legitimate tool for its political goals. That should frighten every single one of us if that’s the kind of movement we have to deal with.
“Celebrating an assassination before Christmas. Imagine that — wow!” added co-host Kayleigh McEnany.
Earlier in the segment, co-host Tomi Lahren claimed, “I don’t think it’s a professional hit job but someone who thought he was doing something noble. Then when you have the online chatter backing that up, it just puts everybody in danger. The fact that there are some celebrating this. It reminds me of the assassination attempts on current President-elect Donald Trump, people celebrating it and making these people into martyrs. That is what is so sick and wrong.”
