Clay Travis Says Trump Should Pardon Every Jan. 6’er – ‘Even Those Guys’ Who Attacked Cops

OutKick founder Clay Travis urged President-elect Donald Trump to pardon every single person who took part in the January 6, 2021 Capitol riots on Wednesday, “even those guys” who committed “violent crime” against police officers.

During a discussion with Fox News host Jesse Watters about what Trump’s second administration could look like, Travis said, “I do think you have to dive in here and go fast and break things.”

He continued, “You’re gonna make some good decisions and some bad ones, but inaction is the flaw. Move fast, break things. Remember, perfection is the enemy of good. Right now we got a lot broken in Washington. Good is a lot better than broken. I want Trump to hit the ground running. I want him to pardon all the January 6’ers.”

Watters questioned, “Every Jan 6’er? Even the ones that were slugging cops?”

“Even those guys, Jesse, because if you compare the punishment they got for violent crime with what they are doing to other people in Washington, D.C., even those people have been punished excessively under the law,” claimed Travis. “I would do a blanket pardon, every single one of them done, and I would also pardon the mayor of New York City, Eric Adams.”

On Sunday, Fox News contributor Charlie Hurt also called on Trump to pardon and commute the sentences of “evert single” person who took part in the Capitol riots.

“I think he should at least commute the sentences of all of them and pardon every single one that was obviously just following the person in front of them wandering through the capital,” he said. “Pardon every single one of them. There were some that did more than just that. And I think he should commute their sentences and let them all out! Every single one of them.”

Trump himself has repeatedly floated the possibility of pardoning all those convicted for participating in the riots.
