Explosive New Audio Features John Kelly Saying Trump Claimed Hitler ‘Did Some Good Things’

The New York Times released audio on Tuesday of Ret. Gen. John Kelly saying former President Donald Trump praised Hitler.

Kelly, who served as Trump’s chief of staff, told the Times that Trump told him previously that Germany’s former dictator “did some good things.”

The release of the audio came hours after a piece was published in The Atlantic by Jeffrey Goldberg, who reported that Trump allegedly asked why his generals could not be as loyal as Hitler’s.

On CNN’s The Source, host Kaitlan Collins aired audio of Kelly’s statements to the Times. Kelly said:

He commented more than once that Hitler did some good things, too. And of course, if you know history — again, I think he’s lacking in that. But if you know what Hitler was all about, it would be pretty hard to make an argument that he did anything good.

First of all, you should never say that. But if you knew what Hitler was all about from the beginning to the end, everything he did was in support of his racist, fascist life. You know, the, you know, philosophy, so that nothing he did, you could argue, was good. It was certainly not done for the right reason. And he would occasionally say that.

The retired general said when he would offer pushback, Trump would change the subject.

Kelly told CNN in March that Trump had previously praised Hitler for rebuilding Germany’s economy after ascending to power in 1933 and declaring himself Führer a year later.

“He would ask about the loyalty issues and about how, when I pointed out to him the German generals as a group were not loyal to him, and in fact tried to assassinate him a few times, and he didn’t know that,” Kelly said.
