Ann Coulter Says People Only Support Accused Killer Luigi Mangione Because of His Good Looks: ‘If He Were a Pudgy Little Guy, Nobody Would Support Him’

Conservative author Ann Coulter argued on NewsNation, Wednesday that “nobody would support” accused UnitedHealthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione “if he were a pudgy little guy” instead of someone who is “good looking.”

During an argument with Coulter on his show Dan Abrams Live, NewsNation host and Mediaite founder Dan Abrams protested, “He is a killer! Why can’t we just stick to that? He’s a murderer! A killer! And I worry that our society in general tends to kind of like the, you know, the outlaw.”

“Only if he’s good looking,” replied Coulter. “If he were a pudgy little guy, nobody would support him.”

Abrams acknowledged, “That may be right, which is really sad.”

Coulter then argued, “What you are really seeing is anger at health insurance companies, and people should be angry, but not at the health insurance companies. At ObamaCare, at Democrats.”

Mangione received a wave of support on social media, with users complimenting his appearance, after he was named the suspect in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan, New York last week.

On Wednesday, the co-hosts of Fox News’ The Five debated whether Mangione was attractive after Jesse Watters declared, “I just don’t think the guy is that good-looking.”

“His eyebrows are horrible,” remarked Dana Perino.

Watters then claimed that after polling his female staffers, the consensus was that Mangione was “average,” but “what’s attractive about him is the vigilantism.”

“Women like the bad boy,” he said.

On Tuesday, CNN anchor Jim Acosta criticized “young people” for “talking about the suspect’s appearance” online, while Fox News co-host Kayleigh McEnany said, “It’s not funny. That’s not humor to me. This is a alleged murderer.”
