Joe Scarborough: Will Trump ‘Go After’ Judges Who Rejected ‘His Bullsh*t’ 2020 Election Fraud ‘Lie’?

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough got the greenlight on cussing from wife and co-host Mika Brzezinski as he asked aloud whether President-elect Donald Trump would “go after” judges and the Supreme Court justices who rejected his “bullshit” 2020 election fraud “lies.”

After the 2020 presidential election, Trump alleged widespread voter fraud had resulted in his loss to President Joe Biden.

In the period that followed, Trump and his allies filed 63 lawsuits, which were unsuccessful, largely because they failed to substantiate their claims. Many were also thrown out over filing mistakes and other procedural shortcomings. In 2021, the Supreme Court also rejected a handful of cases related to disputes over Pennsylvania.

The conversation on MSNBC’s early morning show pivoted to retribution after the Morning Joe crew profiled Trump’s FBI director pick, Kash Patel, and his “deep state” enemies list, published in his 2022 book Government Gangsters. Scarborough pivoted the conversation to the judges and Supreme Court, questioning whether Trump would pursue them.

I’m curious, is he going to go after the 63 federal judges who said the lie was bullshit? Is he going to go after them? Is he going to go after the United States Supreme Court, who said it was bullshit? Is he going to go after Clarence Thomas and Alito? The two most conservative justices who, when they reviewed the Pennsylvania appeal said, well, we need to look at this for legal reasons but it wouldn’t have changed the outcome of the election. Is he going to go after them as well? I mean, seriously – 63 federal decisions. The Supreme Court! You can go on, and on, and on. This is absolutely preposterous.

Brzezinski, who at first appeared to disapprove of Scarborough’s swearing, relented and said: “You can use, BS.”

“Can I say that? I thought I said that,” Scarborough replied.

“That’s what I heard,” co-host Sam Stein added.

Scarborough continued: “I will tell you what else is preposterous… You get these pundits and everybody going ‘this was the worst loss of all-time.’ Obviously! Because of what was at stake in the presidential race. Obviously! We said it here, time and time again: the most important election of our lifetime.”
