‘Why Would He?’ Karine Jean-Pierre Baffled By Fox’s Peter Doocy Asking If Biden Showed Trump Classified Material
Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre appeared baffled when Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked her if Joe Biden showed Donald Trump classified material during their meeting.
On Wednesday, the president and the president-elect met at the White House for nearly two hours. Jean-Pierre faced an onslaught of questions from the press at a briefing later that day about what Trump and Biden discussed.
Jean-Pierre dismissed a question from Doocy regarding whether Biden gave Trump access to classified material and instead noted that the meeting was “substantive.” Trump faces criminal charges from the Department of Justice over his retention and mishandling of classified documents after leaving office at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
