Elon Musk’s mom upped the cringe factor on Fox Business on Thursday by doing an impression of Kamala Harris.
Maye Musk, a South African former model and dietician, appeared on The Bottom Line where she echoed MAGA criticism that Harris’ interviews and speeches amount to “word salad.”
Co-host Dagen McDowell asked, “Mark Cuban… made the comment about, strong, intelligent women are never around Donald Trump. And I want to get your reaction to that.”
“Well, it’s certainly not us. And it’s certainly not my friends because they can put sentences together. And you know who can’t?” Musk said, apparently referring to Kamala Harris before launching into her impression. “‘The absurdity of the absurd in the absurdity is absurd.’ I mean, ha ha ha ha, really?”
In September at the Economic Club of Pittsburgh, Harris was criticized for speaking in circles about “The spirit of American inspiration.” She said:
We need to guard that spirit. We have to guard that spirit. Let it always inspire us. Let it always be the source of our optimism, which is that spirit that is uniquely American. Let that then inspire us by helping us to be inspired to solve the problems that so many face, including our small business owners.
Earlier in the segment, Musk spoke about attending Trump’s MAGA rally at New York’s Madison Square Garden, in which various speakers mocked Puerto Ricans, Blacks, and women.
“You know, I was at Madison Square Garden. Wow, we had the most fun! And it was just fantastic, so, you know. If that’s ‘garbage,’ I’m part of it,” Musk said, referring to recent comments by President Joe Biden about Trump supporters.
Co-host Sean Duffy added, “And Maye, to that point, at Madison Square Garden, and we’ve talked about this a lot but, it was Brown, Black, White, Jewish, Muslim, Christian, atheist — it was a smattering of all America celebrating a set of ideas that can help make the country better, and they want to denigrate and demean that.”
“Yes, well, you know, even somebody posted that it’s where the Jewish people felt safe,” Musk said.
“Yes,” Duffy agreed.
“Who expected that?”
