‘What if She Objects?!’ Fox’s Maria Bartiromo Sounds Alarm Over HARRIS Not Certifying 2024 Election Results

Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo appeared concerned that Vice President Kamala Harris would not certify the 2024 election results if she loses to Donald Trump.

During the January 6th, 2021 election certification, Trump and his allies falsely claimed then-Vice President Mike Pence had the authority to overturn the election by rejecting the Electoral College votes in states Joe Biden won.

Bartiromo voiced her concerns that Harris would refuse to certify the 2024 election results during a Wednesday morning interview with Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY). The anchor asked Lawler to react to statements made by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) during a prior segment where he claimed, “We shouldn’t have the vice president, Kamala Harris, have some sort of unilateral authority to reject the electors.”

“I’ve got to get your reaction to what one of your colleagues told us in the last hour, and that was Chip Roy,” Bartiromo asked Lawler. “And we discussed the fact that as vice president, Kamala Harris is tasked with certifying the election. But what if she’s the opponent of the winner? And what if she objects to the election?”

Lawler responded by vowing to certify the election results regardless of who wins the most electoral votes.

I will certify the election results that should be determined by the American people. We are obviously 13 days away from an election, the most consequential in decades. Obviously, you know, we’re talking about roughly seven swing states that will determine the outcome in 2016. When President Trump won, he won by 80,000 votes in three states. In 2020, when he lost, he lost by 40,000 votes in three states. So it’s going to be very tight. But that’s why it’s so important for everybody to get out and vote in this election.
