Elon Musk Tells Tucker Carlson That Trump Won Because He’s ‘Just Being a Normal Person’

Elon Musk declared that Donald Trump retook the White House because voters liked the way he was “just being a normal person” when he spoke to them on podcasts, like Joe Rogan’s.

Musk appeared on the Tucker Carlson Network on Tuesday to discuss Trump’s appeal to the American people.

“I think it made a big difference that President Trump and soon-to-be Vice President Vance went on lengthy podcasts,” Musk told Carlson, who sat beneath a portrait of a young, fit Trump wearing tennis whites.

“Yes!” Carlson exclaimed.

“I think this really makes a difference because people look at Joe Rogan’s podcast, which is great,” Musk said. “And Lex Fridman’s and the All-In Podcast, and, to a reasonably-minded, smart person who’s not, like, hardcore one way or the other, they just listen to someone talk for a few hours and that’s how they decide whether, you know, you’re a good person, whether they like you.”

The conversation continued:

MUSK: This is why I posted on X, like, nothing would do more damage to Kamala’s campaign than going on Joe Rogan, because she’d run out of non sequiturs after about 45 minutes.

CARLSON: You can’t hide in three hours!

MUSK: Yeah, like hour two and three would be a complete melted puddle of nonsense. So, it would just be absolute game over. That’s why she didn’t go on. But, on the other hand, Trump, he’s there, there’s no talking points. He’s just being a normal person, having a conversation and doing three hours of Rogan, no problem.

Musk joined Trump’s family and other supporters on stage during Trump’s victory lap at the West Palm Beach Convention Center Tuesday night.

In October, Trump praised Musk’s “powerful endorsement” and promised during his campaign to create a new position during a second Trump Term.

“He doesn’t want to be in the cabinet,” Trump told Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo. “He just wants to be in charge of cost-cutting. We’ll have a new position: Secretary of cost-cutting, OK? Elon wants to do that.”
