Bannon Calls For Trump to Put ‘100% Moratorium on ALL Legal Immigration’ As War With Musk Rages On

Former Trump White House advisor turned MAGA-world podcaster, Steve Bannon, called for a total freeze of all immigration into the United States on Tuesday. Bannon has been at the forefront of a MAGA civil war, which has pitted the hard right of the Trump base against tech billionaires Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy over the need for high-skilled migrant workers on H-1B visas.

In the past week, Bannon and Musk have traded bards as Bannon has slammed Musk as a “toddler,” while Musk has vowed to root out the “contemptible fools” in MAGA world.

Bannon, who has long railed against unfettered immigration into the U.S., said on his War Room podcast Tuesday, “We’re fighting for something that means something. We have meaning in this. This is why people watch this show. This is why people come to this show and all this great content people provide us.”

“Why have they done this for years? Why they did it for years at Breitbart? When Trump started appearing in ‘13 or ‘14? We said, that’s the guy. Why was it– because it had been a struggle before that? We didn’t come in here in June, and we’re not saying, just cause you came late. No, you can be part of this, but you’re not going to sit here and lie to us, to our face and expect to say nothing, because you’re worth $500 billion,” Bannon added, referring to Musk’s late conversion to MAGA.

“You people are taking money. Take money. I don’t care. Bow down and kowtow. I don’t care. I couldn’t care less. I’m a crazy freaking Irishman. And I will never– I didn’t kowtow to Nancy Pelosi, put me in a federal prison for four months and I didn’t care. Spit in their face when I went in, I spit in their eye when I came out. I literally do not care. And that is the first step in the path of victory,” Bannon said, making clear he was not intimidated by Musk’s wealth and power.

“100% moratorium on all immigration until we get this thing sorted!” he concluded.

Bannon made the same call late last Sunday on Gettr, the far-right platform he posts to as he was banned from Twitter in 2020. “100% Moratorium on ALL Legal Immigration Effective High Noon 20 Jan 25 —100%,” Bannon wrote.
