Laura Loomer Brutally Slams Elon Musk Over ‘Conflicts’ and Ties to China: ‘We Need to Protect President Trump’

Laura Loomer joined Steve Bannon on Friday to talk about Elon Musk’s X stripping her account of its verification after she slammed his ties to China and support for immigration visas for high-skilled workers.

“I have always been America First and a die-hard supporter of President Trump and I believe that promises made should be promises kept. Donald Trump promised to remove the H1B visa program and I support his policy,” Loomer wrote on Musk’s platform.

“Now, as one of Trump’s biggest supporters, I’m having my free speech silenced by a tech billionaire for simply questioning the tech oligarchy,” she added.

Bannon asked Loomer, a close Trump ally and former GOP candidate for Congress, to lay out her issues with Musk and the current “status” of her X account.

“I also have a problem with his ties to China. Okay. I really do feel that it’s inappropriate for a guy who is being funded by well, you know, he’s closely aligned with Xi Jinping, Li Qiang of the CCP. They support his Shanghai Gigafactory. Why does this guy have unfettered access to President Trump?” Loomer replied, adding:

And what are these, the national security implications of this? I know that you’ve spoken out about this, and we really need to have an honest conversation about this. At what point do we say, thank you so much for supporting President Trump and donating to his ground game, but these conflicts are inappropriate and they’re going to create potential controversy for President Trump and his nominees. In the Trump administration, we need to have an honest conversation about this that isn’t blinded by people’s lovefest for a technocratic billionaire. We need to protect President Trump from conflicts.

The guys that are going in to advise on tech are openly tweeting about their investment portfolios in Palantir while they’re appointing all of their Palantir associates to serve in the Trump administration. These are inappropriate conflicts that we would be criticizing the Democrats for, and we need to have the same standards. We need to have the same standards or else we’re no better than the Democrats.

Palantir is a Peter Thiel-founded software company from which Trump has hired several prominent members of his administration. NBC News “mapped” the incoming Trump administration’s ties to big-tech, including to Thiel – who donated tens of millions to Vice President-elect JD Vance’s run for the U.S. Senate in 2022. NBC reported:

Jacob Helberg, an adviser to the government contractor Palantir Technologies and the husband of another ex-PayPal executive, Keith Rabois, is Trump’s pick for undersecretary of state for economic growth, energy and the environment. A tech investor, Trae Stephens, a co-founder of the defense contractor Anduril and a partner at Thiel’s Founders Fund, has been under consideration for Defense Department jobs, according to Politico and The Wall Street Journal. Jim O’Neill, former CEO of the Thiel Foundation, is Trump’s choice for the No. 2 job at the Department of Health and Human Services. Trump has named Emil Michael, a former Uber executive, for the Pentagon’s top research job. Vance’s economic adviser Gail Slater, who has worked for Fox Corp., Roku and a now-defunct trade group called the Internet Association, is Trump’s choice to lead antitrust enforcement at the Justice Department.

Loomer later repeated her criticism of X taking action against her account and accused Musk of betraying his “free speech absolutist” promise. Loomer has long made headlines for pushing far-right conspiracy theories, including claiming school shootings were staged to suggesting Nikki Haley controlled the weather ahead of the Iowa caucuses.

Trump praised Loomer during his Iowa caucus victory speech in January, calling her “a very important person” and “fantastic.” Trump met with Loomer at his Bedminster country club over the summer and praised the work she does on his behalf and reportedly even tried to hire her as campaign staff before an internal revolt. Trump later sparked an outcry by having Loomer on his plane as he attended 9/11 memorials this year, an event Loomer has suggested was a false flag attack carried out by the U.S. government.
