Illegal Immigrant Tells Fox News He’s Concerned About Lack of Background Checks at Border, Warns ‘Killers’ and ‘Psychopaths’ Could Get In

A Turkish man who crossed the southern border into the United States illegally told Fox News he was concerned about the lack of background checks, warning that “killers” and “psychopaths” could easily slip into the country.

Shortly after crossing the border, the Turkish man told Fox News he had to pay around $10,000 to a cartel for passage into the United States and that his journey took a total of 24 days, with stops in Qatar, Dubai, Egypt, South Africa, and Brazil.

“In fact, American people is right, completely true,” he told Fox News in response to the border crisis. “Who comes into this country? They don’t know. Okay, I’m good, but how if they’re not good? How if they’re killers, psychopaths, else? No guarantee of that. Like, no security check, no background check.”

After Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin questioned, “You’re worrying about who’s crossing the border?” the migrant replied, “Yes, yes, yes. Of course,” before adding that some people crossing the border did “not look normal.”

“Wow,” reacted Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum to the interview. “That’s an incredible sound bite, Bill, that this individual who’s crossing the border is concerned about the safety of the other people around him. He says, ‘I’m good, but I’m worried because they’re letting in everyone and all you have to do is country hop for 24 hours and you too can get in and benefit from crossing into America.'”
