MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Connects Trump Border Czar To Weird Jews-Did-9/11, Hitler-Praising Podcaster

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow thoroughly hammered former and future immigration official Tom Homan over his public comments and appearances in the period before President-elect Donald Trump ‘s victory — and drew a connection between Homan and a podcaster who has made virulent anti-Jewish and pro-Hitler statements.

Days after his victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump tapped Homan to be border czar. Just as quickly, Homan began issuing hardline soundbites about the mass deportations to come.

On Monday night’s edition of MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show, the host highlighted several such comments from the months before Homan’s appointment and went a step further by revealing some disturbing comments by podcaster Scott McKay, who interviewed Homan in October of last year (McKay’s comments were made on another podcast):

MADDOW: Tom Homan will be Trump’s border czar. Tom Homan is the architect of the policy that had the U.S. government deliberately and systematically taking little kids away from their parents and not giving them back. He also spent this interregnum period while Trump has been out of the office, barnstorming the country, bragging about how he’s going to be the man who will mercilessly come after immigrants if and when Trump gets back into power.

REPORTER: Is there a way to carry out mass deportation without separating families?

TOM HOMAN, FORMER ACTING DIRECTOR, IMMIGRATION AND CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT: Of course, there is. Families can be deported together.

They ain’t seen (EXPLETIVE DELETED) yet. Wait until 2025. Trump comes back in January, I’ll be on his heels coming back. And I will run the biggest deportation operation this country has ever seen.

I’m sick and tired of hearing about the family the separation. I’m still being sued over that. So I don’t give a (EXPLETIVE DELETED). I don’t give a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) what anybody says.

Trump comes back, I come back.

HOMAN: And I will run the biggest deportation operation this country’s ever seen.

MADDOW: That last appearance there, it’s worth pointing out was Tom Homan, again, just appointed to be Trump’s border czar for the second term. This was him speaking this year at an event called the Rod of Iron Festival, which was a quasi religious event held by sort of a cult group.

This is their leader. This is a group that literally, literally worships assault rifles, and their sort of demigod leader who literally wears a crown that is made out of bullets. That cult event is the kind of event that Tom Homan has been speaking at this year, talking about mass deportations and how he’ll run all of that when Trump is back in office.

Here is one other I just want– here is one other I just want to highlight. This is Tom Homan doing a very friendly long radio show interview, fairly typical interview for him content-wise.

But I just want to show you this is the guy whose show he chose to be on here. This is the kind of environment Tom Homan has been swimming in before being named today to be Trump’s border czar for a second term.

SCOTT MCKAY, RIGHT-WING PODCASTER: If you look what happened under the attacks and 9/11 all coming out of the same group of people that has done a very good job at hiding under the religion of Judaism. They use Judaism as a cover for what they’re really doing.

I’m sure they helped engineer the takedown of Hitler. Things that I see, it just makes me shake my head after what they’ve programmed us.

These people are going to learn a lot about World War II and Hitler and the Nazis. They’re going to learn Hitler was actually fighting the same people that we’re trying to take down today.

MADDOW: People — people are going to learn Hitler was fighting the same people that we’re trying to take down today. These people who are using Judaism as a cover for what they’re really doing and look at 9/11, look at Judaism and 9/11. What?

This is the company that Tom Homan has been keeping and the kinds of places where he’s been making appearances over the past few years while Trump has been out of office. That’s where Tom Homan has been promising mass deportations and camps to hold millions of people in this country.

Now, Trump today has announced that he is in fact bringing Tom Homan into the government to head up mass deportations.
