Fox’s Jesse Watters Beams While Imagining Dems Lose Their Minds Over Deportations: ‘Gonna Be Hysterical’
Fox News host Jesse Watters predicted mass deportations of undocumented migrants promised by President-Elect Donald Trump will produce some moments of hysteria on Friday’s edition of The Five.
As the show’s panelists discussed how much of Trump’s agenda he could accomplish, given some issues are state and local and out of his purview, Watters invoked immigration.
The host said Democratic governors would be helpless in preventing federal law enforcement officers from expelling some people from the country. He further predicted Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) would use deportations for photo ops, which he said would be “hysterical.” On the probability of Trump fulfilling his campaign promises, Watters said:
Deportation. They’re going to lose the states on this because that is a federal issue, and there will be massive clashes because you’re going to have cameras out there making sure that they capture the images of ICE coming along and taking these people away. And they deserve to be taken away. Sometimes, you have to do tough stuff, but AOC is going to be there tying herself to migrants.
It’s gonna be hysterical.
Watters referred to Trump as a father taking control of a house in chaos, and concluded, “But sometimes dad has to do the tough things. Doesn’t make it always look great, but it’s the right thing to do, and that’s what we expect.”
Trump vowed throughout the campaign to carry out the largest deportation operation in American history if elected.
After he was elected Tuesday, Trump said he did not care how much deporting millions of migrants who entered the U.S. under the Biden administration would cost.
“It’s not a question of a price tag. It’s not — really, we have no choice,” he said. “When people have been killed and murdered, when drug lords have destroyed countries, and now they’re going to go back to those countries because they’re not staying here. There is no price tag.”
A Fox News spokesperson clarified that Jesse Watters said that the left’s reaction to deportations will be hysterical as in hysteria, he was not referring to humor.
