Alex Jones Gives Wild Post-Trump Assassination Attempt Interview, Declares He’s ‘Prepared to Die’: ‘It Ain’t a F*cking Joke’
InfoWars founder Alex Jones offered a number of doomsday scenarios for himself and the rest of the world in an interview following the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
Trump was struck in the ear by a shooter at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday. The shooter was fatally shot a rally goer and injured two others before being killed himself by Secret Service. Jones joined comedian Tim Dillon on Monday in a wild interview for The Tim Dillon Show in which the conspiracy theorist predicted potential bombings, nuclear war, and said he’s “preparing to die.”
Jones kicked off the interview joining Dillon remotely from northern California smoking a cigarette and drinking from what appeared to be a tequila bottle. Jones claimed he “personally” warned Trump about a potential assassination six months ago.
“Are you going to be at the convention?” Dillon asked at the tail end of the interview.
Trump flew to Milwaukee, Wisconsin shortly after being shot to attend the Republican National Convention this week.
“Tim, I’m going to be completely honest with you, I’m prepared to die,” Jones said after a long pause.
Jones noted he was “physically sick” as he gagged a few times while trying to speak.
“I’m sitting here believing we’re about to have a nuclear war, they’ve already tried to kill Trump, they’re going to do it again and so I feel guilty literally talking to you and saying we’re about to see the end of civilization,” he said.
He argued the United States is “in the middle of World War III” with Russia and he predicted “cyberattacks,” potential attacks on the power grid, and further attempts on Trump’s life. Jones also promoted a conspiracy theory that “truck bombs” could be used in states like Florida to use violence to further divide voters.
“I’m literally having nightmares every night. I’m literally preparing to die and sitting there watching everybody going and playing golf and watching Netflix thinking it’s all a fucking joke. Folks, it ain’t a fucking joke,” he said.
According to Jones, Trump is already “dead.”
“They’re going to power outage us, they’re going to do a cyberattack, they’re going to kill Trump, and I’ll just say that. They’re going to kill Trump. I think he’s dead,” he said.
It was reported last month that Jones’s website will soon be liquidated to help pay a $1.5 billion judgement he owes to the families of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Jones was sued for defamation after entertaining a conspiracy theory that the shooting was staged and that some involved were “crisis actors.” He’s since said the shooting did happen.
