While in Paris for the 2024 Olympics, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr and Warriors guard Steph Curry endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.
Both members of the Warriors — who are participating in the Olympics with USA Basketball — spoke highly of Harris and her decision to run for president.
“It’s a big deal, to say the least,” Curry said in front of media after mentioning President Joe Biden dropping out of the race and endorsing Harris, “She represents the Bay Area. She’s been a big supporter of us, and so I want to give that energy right back to her. And [I’m] just excited knowing — obviously, we’re representing our country here — and this is a very monumental next couple months for our country and the direction that we’re headed. So, hopefully, this is a great way to do our part to continue unifying the country with how we — sports brings a lot of people together.”

Kerr, as he’s known to do when expressing his views, was more blunt in his endorsement.
“Kamala Harris is a great candidate,” he said, “and I will support her.”

Both men, as well as the rest of the U.S. men’s national team, met Harris during a team practice in early July.
“Our nation is cheering you on. We are so proud of you. Beat Canada and bring back that gold.”
