JD Vance Tells Joe Rogan Republicans Went ‘Really Wrong’ By Attacking Hunter Biden: ‘I Want To Hang Out With’ Him!
Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance told Joe Rogan that Republicans went “really wrong” with their attacks on Hunter Biden in an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience released on Thursday.
Vance’s appearance followed one by his running mate, former President Donald Trump, who sat down with Rogan for a near-three hour chat last week. Vance’s talk with Rogan ran just over three hours.
While discussing his love for John Singleton’s Boyz n the Hood, Vance turned his attention to Republicans and argued that attacks on President Joe Biden’s son over his drug use and legal troubles have not landed with the public. Vance called his Hunter Biden defense an “act of bipartisanship.”
“The one thing that Republicans, man, that I think we got really wrong in the last few years is the anti-Hunter Biden stuff. I want to go hang out with Hunter Biden!” Vance said before both he and Rogan erupted into laughter.
Trump has already said that he’s open to pardoning Hunter Biden, who is facing sentencing for tax and gun charges he was convicted of in December. Trump has argued that Biden’s son being charged and potentially put behind bars is not good for the country, while Biden has repeatedly said that he will not interfere and pardon his son.
“I mean, I may the only Republican. That dude, that dude, knows how to have a good time,” Vance said of the younger Biden.
“He’s like Hunter S. Thompson without the writing talent. That guy went hard. You got to give it to him,” Rogan said.
“I would bet $100 that Hunter Biden is voting for Donald Trump for president,” Vance said.
He then bet that President Biden himself would vote for Trump, submitting that Biden is secretly helping the campaign, citing his controversial “garbage” gaffe. Biden was accused this week of calling Trump supporters “garbage” while discussing a Madison Square Garden event where comedian Tony Hinchcliffe jokingly referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage,” setting off major backlash.
The White House updated a transcript of Biden’s talk and the president himself clarified that he was not speaking about “supporters,” but “supporter’s,” referring only to Hinchcliffe and his commentary.
“After we win, I’m going to be convinced that Joe Biden was helping us the whole time,” Vance said.
