Podcaster Joe Rogan said on social media Sunday he was “genuinely concerned” about drones that have appeared above the skies over New Jersey and neighboring states in recent weeks.

Rogan shared a video on his X page of one self-described drone manufacturing company CEO discussing the hysteria and commented, “This is the first video about these drones that has got me genuinely concerned.”

In the lengthy video, which originated on TikTok, a man explained he believed the US government could be searching for something such as a missing nuclear warhead.

TikTok user @john.ferguson.730 questioned if “over 80 nuclear warheads that were in Ukraine that came up missing” could have ended up in the US.

He explained, “I spoke to a gentleman a few months ago who was trying to raise an alarm to the highest levels of our government, which they had their ears closed, about this one particular nuclear warhead that he physically put his hands on.”

The TikToker said the man had told him that the alleged nuclear weapon he claimed to have touched was headed for America.

The man concluded he believed there was radioactive material somewhere along an interstate – possibly in New Jersey– but that the federal government was almost certainly searching for something. None of the man’s claims have been verified.

Lawmakers and citizens in the area are demanding answers from the state and federal government about the drones. Few answers have been offered. CNN reported:

The sightings began on November 18 near Morris County, New Jersey, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Republican New Jersey Assemblyman Paul Kanitra told CNN’s Sara Sidner Friday morning there had been drone sightings every night since then. Unnerved residents have frequently reported seeing drones hovering overhead, sometimes traveling in clusters.

Biden administration national security spokesperson John Kirby has said what many people are reporting seeing are civilian aircraft operating legally.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told ABC News Sunday, “I want to assure the American public that we are on it.”
