Joe Rogan shot down a conspiracy theory that YouTube censored his interview with former President Donald Trump, which dropped in full on Friday.

Shortly after the nearly three hour interview was posted, some on social media began to speculate that YouTube had taken it down. The rumor was hit with “reader context” on X to explain that no such thing had occurred. Rogan also took to X to explain. According to Rogan, the video on YouTube was delisted not because of censorship, but simply because there was a “bug” in Spotify’s system and the episode needed to post at the same time on both platforms.

“There is no issue with YouTube censoring the trump episode. It was just supposed to go live on both Spotify and YouTube at the same time and there was a glitch in Spotify’s upload system and so we delisted the YouTube link until it’s fixed. It should be fine now,” Rogan wrote.

In their lengthy conversation, Rogan and Trump touched on a wide variety of topics from election conspiracy theories to President Joe Biden’s health history.

Trump’s interview with Rogan ran later than expected, leading the former president to be several hours late for a Michigan rally, leading many to ditch the event.

“It’s a Friday night, so we can sit around. We’ll do an extra-special job when we get there. I think we land in about two hours, and we’re stepping on the gas,” Trump told voters in a video message on Friday. “But it’s all about winning. And we had to spend some extra time with some people and lots of people, actually.”
