Trump Gives Bad Reviews to Biden’s Brain Surgeries: ‘Those Were Not Good Operations’

Former President Donald Trump blamed brain surgery for President Joe Biden’s apparent cognitive decline, and not his age during a Friday night interview with Joe Rogan.

Trump and the famed podcaster sat down for a three-hour conversation about a variety of topics ranging from wind farms to the 2020 election. The podcast appearance actually made the former president late for a rally in Michigan.

At one point during the lengthy discussion, Trump, 78, defended Biden’s age – and, by proxy, his own – when he said being 81-year-old did not cause the sitting president to lose a step cognitively:

We have idiots that are negotiating for us. We have a guy that doesn’t make it past four o’clock, and it’s not because of age, you know? They are – so I know so many guys in their late eighties, and they’re better than – I said to one guy, “I think you’re smarter than you were 25 years ago.” I’ve known him for a long time. He’s 89 years old. He’s sharp as, I mean, he’s great.

Biden gives people a bad name because that’s not an old – that’s not an age. I think they say because I’m three or four years younger, you know, I think that’s why they say it, they say, “His age.” It’s not his age. He’s got a problem.

Rogan commented, “Two major brain surgeries. He had aneurysms.”

Trump replied, “He did. Those are not good operations.”

Biden suffered two brain aneurysms in his youth, as the Moody Neurorehabilitation Center notes:

As Vice President of the United States under Barack Obama, Joe Biden served 8 years as one of the most important politicians in America. Prior to holding the Vice Presidency, Biden served several terms as a senator representing the State of Delaware. It was during his time as a senator that he required surgery for not one, but two brain aneurysms. The first aneurysm had ruptured, putting him in a life or death situation. Doctors saved his life and the recovery from his brain surgeries is simply astonishing. His ability to succeed at the highest levels of government after these aneurysms is truly inspirational. Below are a few news articles documenting his surgeries:
