Joe Rogan and Tim Dillon Dismiss Israel Defenders Arguing Hamas Treats Gays, Women Poorly: ‘You’re Killing Children!’
Joe Rogan and Tim Dillon dismissed people defending Israel’s strikes on Gaza by pointing out Hamas’ treatment of gay people and women.
Rogan was joined by his fellow comedian this week on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast where the pair jumped into a number of topics, including Israel. While both condemned Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack on Israel — in which more than 1,000 were killed and hundreds were kidnapped — they also blasted Israel’s tactics in eliminating the terror group, which has included strikes on Gaza that have led to thousands of civilian deaths.
“The response to maybe let’s not bomb these refugee camps is do you know what Hamas does to gay people and women? And it’s like, guys, come on,” Dillon, who is gay, said.
“Yeah, but you’re killing people,” Rogan, who has been a vocal critic of Israel’s strikes, added.
“You’re killing children and women,” Dillon said.
“More than you’re killing terrorists!” Rogan replied.
Rogan questioned whether Gaza is beyond the point of repair due to the bombing, while Dillon theorized an “endgame” could be for Israel to take control of the land, something the government has denied will happen on a permanent basis.
Activists on the left, Dillon argued, treat Hamas like a “high school theater group,” while activists on the right are endorsing a strategy that will never work out in the longterm.
“There’s definitely naivete on both sides. People who think Hamas is like a high school theater group are insane, but the people also who think that you can bomb your way to the peace over there, I don’t know,” Dillon said.
Rogan added that he thought the civilian deaths and destruction in Gaza has likely just created more Hamas members.
“What are they going to do with all those people who survived? I mean, imagine how many future Hamas people they’ve created,” he said.
