Tommy Tuberville Flames ‘Fear Mongering’ Elizabeth Warren For Criticizing Elon Musk’s DOGE
Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) ripped Sen. Elizbeth Warren (D-MA) for “fear mongering” over her claims Elon Musk plans to use the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to cut Social Security benefits.
Warren has been critical of Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy – claiming the pair want to use DOGE to cut government benefits for Americans who have paid into the system.
During an interview with Fox Business Network anchor Maria Bartiromo on Saturday, the host aired a clip of Warren claiming DOGE would see normal Americans left out in the cold for tax cuts for the wealthy.
Bartitomo noted neither Musk nor Ramaswamy had mentioned Social Security benefits and asked him for his thoughts on Warren’s comments.
“Yeah, well, fear mongering Elizabeth Warren, she throws it all out there,” the senator said. Tuberville dismissed Warren’s criticism and claimed the creation of DOGE was the “best decision” Trump has made since winning the election:
Wouldn’t it be great to be a Democrat where you don’t have to worry about overspending and borders and crime. You just do whatever you want to do and and blame it on the Republicans at the end of the day. I think this is the best thing that President Trump has done to this point of putting these two in charge of going after fraud and overspending and oversight. Just look at the military seven audits that have not passed muster.
We have got to find out where all this money’s going. Probably about $4.7 trillion that come into our bank every year from the from from the taxpayers of this country. And we spend 7 trillion. So we can’t continue to spend $2 trillion more a year than we bring in. And we’ve got to cut back. But Medicare and Social Security are not going to be one of those. Again, it’s all about fear mongering. They will bring up any kind of subject to point at Republicans that we’re doing the wrong thing for the American people.
