Stunned Elizabeth Warren Wipes Away Tears As DNC Crowd Goes NUTS

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) was stunned by the thunderous ovation as she took to the stage at the Democratic National Convention, wiping away tears through the cheers.

The Democratic National Convention (DNC) entered its final hours Thursday night, with anticipation high for Vice President Kamala Harris — and maybe another surprise guest.

But Warren — whose intense following briefly put her in the lead during the 2020 Democratic primary — took to the stage early in the program, and the ovation she got wasn’t quite Beyonce-level — but it was close.

The cheers lasted over a minute-and-a-half, and the ovation was still going strong when a clearly moved Warren launched into her speech:

SEN. BOB CASEY: Please welcome Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren.

CROWD: (GOES NUTS FOR FULL 98 SECONDS)

SEN. ELIZABETH WARREN: (WIPES TEARS).

CROWD: (STILL GOING NUTS).

SEN. ELIZABETH WARREN: You know what I love best about Kamala Harris? Kamala Harris can’t be bought and she can’t be bossed around.

Now. I first met Kamala in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crash. The banks had flat out broken laws, cheated people and stolen homes. Millions of Americans had lost their jobs, their savings, their homes.

Now, I was setting up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Kamala was protecting families as California’s attorney general
