CNN Anchor Brutally Fact-Checks GOP Gov. Doug Burgum Over Timeline Of Trump’s Alleged Hitler Praise

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (R) was brutally fact-checked by CNN anchor Sara Sidner while discussing the timeline of Donald Trump’s alleged praise of Adolf Hitler.

During a Thursday interview on CNN, Burgum fielded questions from Sidner regarding accusations from former White House chief of staff Gen. John Kelly that Trump praised the Nazi dictator and disparaged a deceased U.S. soldier.

Sidner asked Burgum if the warnings and accusations from Trump’s former chief of staff give him “pause” in his support for the former president. Burgum remained steadfast in his support for the GOP nominee and instead bashed Kamala Harris over her stance towards Israel.

The North Dakota governor then claimed that Kelly made the accusations about Trump five years ago, forcing Sidner to jump in to fact-check him.

BURGUM: And then we’ve got Vice President Harris, who just last week on tape saying that Israel was committing genocide. And so if you talk about, you know, what someone said about Trump five years ago about what vice president said, what she said five days ago, I think the record-

SIDNER: John Kelly said that now. But John Kelly said that now — his longest serving chief of staff that was something he said two days ago.

BURGUM: Yeah, talking about five years ago. And so it’s like, again, if you’ve got, you know, a — I appreciate anyone who served in the military and appreciate their support. But, you know, if he had concerns, you know, he could have said it when he was working for him five years ago. He could have said it when he left the White House. He waits until 12 days before the election.
