John Fetterman Laughs Off Question from Dana Bash About Him Being ‘Worried’ Trump Will Claim Voter Fraud: ‘Same Sh*t That He Played’ in 2020
Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) dismissed an assertion from CNN’s Dana Bash on Sunday that he and other Democrats should be “worried” former President Donald Trump is laying the groundwork to claim Tuesday’s election is being stolen from him.
Fetterman put his hands on his cheeks to feign terror and joked, “It made me tinkle.”
Bash opened up her interview on Sunday’s State of the Union by asking Fetterman who he thought would carry his state on Tuesday – Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris. Fetterman said he was confident Harris would be the victor.
The CNN anchor then showed the senator a social media post from Thursday in which Trump claimed there was massive voter fraud uncovered in Lancaster County.
“We caught them CHEATING BIG in Pennsylvania,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Must announce and PROSECUTE, NOW! This is a CRIMINAL VIOLATION OF THE LAW. STOP VOTER FRAUD! CHECK OUT KAMALA’S NEW SLEAZEBAG LAWYER. WE ARE ON THEM ALL THIS TIME! Who would have ever thought that our Country is so CORRUPT?”
She asked, “How worried about you are you about what is going on? I mean, that is my question. How worried are you?”
After Fetterman laughed off Bash’s concerns, he responded, “I mean, it’s the same shit that he played in ’20 and that didn’t go anywhere.”
Bash followed up, “But that’s why I’m asking you this question. How worried are you about this being a repeat? Because he didn’t win, but it caused a lot of problems.”
Fetterman concluded, “I’m not worried about it. It’s just like a thing. It’s the same thing that he tried in 2020. And, you know, we had an absolutely a secure election. And now, there are there was voter fraud in Pennsylvania and there was a handful over Republicans and they had their dead moms voting for Trump.”
