Trump Posts Mocking Supercut of Dems Bragging About Biden’s Mental Acuity As Media Takes Fire For Lack of Reporting
President-elect Donald Trump posted a supercut clip of Democrats assuring Americans President Joe Biden was as sharp as ever on his Truth Social account Monday, a day after a CBS News reporter said the most “underreported” story of 2024 was the president’s “cognitive decline.”
Trump made no mention of a remark from CBS News correspondent Jan Crawford about Biden’s health and posted the nearly three-minute clip without comment or context.
The president-elect’s video featured everyone from Gen. Mark Milley to Nancy Pelosi to Karine Jean-Pierre going on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC to quell anxieties that Biden might have lost a step.
In one clip, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas declared on Meet the Press, “The most difficult part about a meeting with President Biden is preparing for it because he is sharp, intensely probing, and detail-oriented, and focused.”
In another clip, Jean-Pierre told CNN, “It is hard for us to keep up with this president.”
On Sunday’s Face the Nation on CBS, Crawford was asked what she believed was deserving of more coverage this past year by guest host Major Garrett.
Crawford cited the June debate between Biden and Trump that ultimately led to a pressure campaign that saw the president drop his bid for reelection and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Undercovered and underreported, that would be, to me, Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline that became undeniable in the televised debate,” she told Garrett. Crawford added:
We should have much more forcefully questioned whether he was fit for office for another four years, which could have led to a primary for the Democrats. It could have changed the scope of the entire election. Yet still, incredibly, we read in The Washington Post that his advisers are saying that he regrets that he dropped out of the race, that he thinks he could have beaten Trump. And I think that is either delusional or they’re gaslighting the American people.
Conservatives fumed over Crawford’s comment, spending the day blasting the legacy media.
