President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday highly praised a Jewish state lawmaker in Florida for her decision to switch parties and become a Republican, congratulating her for joining the “noble quest to Save our Country” in a post on his Truth Social account.

Florida State Representative Hillary Cassel switched parties from Democrat to Republican on Friday, and blasted her former party on the way out the door for failures in supporting Israel and the party’s “willingness to tolerate extreme progressive voices that justify or condone acts of terrorism.”

Cassel also said Democrats are out of touch with Florida’s voters and that the best way to serve her constituents is by joining the Republican party in the state.

Trump on Saturday gave an all-caps thank you to the now former Democrat in his Truth Social post for her decision that expands the GOP’s supermajority in the state.

“Congratulations to Hillary Cassel for becoming the second State Representative from the Great State of Florida to switch her Party affiliation from Democrat to Republican, once more expanding the GOP Supermajority in the State House!” he wrote.

He also invited other Democrats to get on board.

I would further like to invite other Disillusioned Democrats to switch Parties, and join us on this noble quest to Save our Country and, Make America Great Again - GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE. THANK YOU HILLARY!

Cassel had not replied to the endorsement on her X account yet at the time of this post.
