Jesse Watters Mocks Obama For Biden Birthday Wishes: ‘My Friend Who I Just Couped!’
Fox News host Jesse Watters mocked former President Barack Obama’s birthday message to “friend” President Joe Biden after he was central to the “coup” that forced him to step out of the 2024 presidential race.
Biden celebrated his 82nd birthday on Wednesday, prompting Democratic colleagues like Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris to wish him a “happy birthday.”
Obama was reportedly instrumental in pressing Biden to drop out of the presidential race, hosting private discussions with former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi about the viability of Biden’s campaign before the public push by senior party members to force a decision. It was reported in July that Hollywood actor and Democratic fundraiser George Clooney also consulted Obama prior to publishing a New York Times op-ed calling on Biden to hand over to another candidate.
During Wednesday’s Primetime, Watters, however, slammed the “insincere” greetings, noting that Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi did not issue a public message to Biden.
He mused that Pelosi, also instrumental in putting public pressure on the president not to compete for the White House, would not be getting an invite to his birthday party at his vacation home in
The oldest president in history just got a little older. It’s Joe Biden’s birthday. The big 82 for the big guy. And Primetime would wish him a happy birthday, but we have rules here. Men don’t wish men happy birthdays. That didn’t stop Barack Obama from saying, ‘Happy birthday to my friend, Joe Biden.’ ‘My friend who I just couped.’ Kamala also joining in, ‘Happy birthday to my dear friend.’ Sounds so insincere.
Nothing from Nancy, but she did remember it was Trans Day of Remembrance. Safe to say she’s not getting an invitation to the party at Rehoboth this weekend.
