Fox & Friends Absolutely Revels in Trump Victory: Has Anyone Done a ‘Wellness Check’ on Clooney and Oprah?
Fox & Friends reveled in the news of projected President-elect Donald Trump’s victory over Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and mocked the high-profile celebrities who’d offered her endorsements, asking whether anyone had done a “wellness check” on them.
The show kicked off its second hour Wednesday as the hosts lauded a “fascinating” election night as host Steve Doocy praised Trump for a “clean sweep” of battleground states.
As the joy padded out, host Lawrence Jones noted that Harris was yet to concede the election and reflected on her despondent departure from the her own watch party in Washington D.C.
“She left her entire audience sitting there at Howard University,” Jones said.
Co-host Brian Kilmeade added that: “Hillary [Clinton] had to get a call from [Barack] Obama in order to concede. You have to concede you lost. I guess he didn’t call this time.”
Mockingly, Doocy said: “I wonder if George Clooney called.”
“Right, is he good at that,” Kilmeade joined in, in reference to the Hollywood actor’s consequential push for President Joe Biden to step out of the race.
“Or Julia Roberts,” co-host Ainsley Earhardt added to namedrop the actress who ran voiceover on one of Harris’s campaign adverts.
Doocy said: “Has anybody done a wellness check today on Barack Obama, on Nancy Pelosi, on George Clooney, on Oprah?” adding, “because I got a feeling they are not feeling as good as our next guest [2024 Trump campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt]”
