The View’s Sunny Hostin Shares Wild Theory About Melania Trump’s Plan to Intentionally ‘Undercut’ Her Husband: ‘I Think She Hates Him’
Among the Hot Topics on ABC’s The View on Thursday was the bombshell statement from former First Lady Melania Trump that she supported abortion rights “free from any intervention or pressure from the government.” And co-host Sunny Hostin had a big theory about why Mrs. Trump would say such a thing while her husband, former President Donald Trump, was trying to be the president again.
To be clear, this is merely a theory by Hostin and just speculation. One could say she’s just asking questions. But Hostin laid out a few observations about Mrs. Trump coming out with a statement that so starkly contrasts the positions of her husband, who has held nearly every possible position on abortion during his adult lifetime but appointed three Supreme Court Justices who paved the way to overturn Roe v. Wade — and bragged about it repeatedly:
I think she hates him. Okay, so we can all agree that. That’s a given. I also think that she wants to take him out. She does not want to be the First Lady any more. She doesn’t want to be the First Lady. She destroyed the Rose Garden. Who hates Christmas? Melania Trump hates Christmas. She doesn’t want to decorate for Christmas. She doesn’t want anything to do with him. She doesn’t want to sleep in the same room with him. She can’t tolerate him.
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg clarified by chiming in: “Allegedly.” Joy Behar exclaimed, “You don’t know all this!” It’s just a theory, Joy. Hostin continued:
But this is how they’re simpatico — like Alyssa said, she needs the money because he’s broke. So, she wants to make the money, now her memoir’s all buzzy, now we’re all talking about it. Maybe now she’s not as bad as she is. You know, I think that she wants to take him out and she’s doing a pretty damn good job of it.
Alyssa Farah Griffin, who is a former Trump aide and now speaks out against him, disagreed:
We forget this — if Donald Trump loses, he likely goes to jail. We actually try the January 6th case. We actually try the documents case. I’m not convinced Melania Trump wants the father of her children in jail.
Hostin responded: “She doesn’t even sleep with him! She doesn’t talk to him!” To which Griffin conceded: “I honestly don’t know anything about their personal relationship.”
Is it a conspiracy? Is it one that Melania is also wondering about? What is she thinking?
