Fox News Host Agrees With Melania That ‘Maybe God’s Sparing’ Trump’s Life In Exclusive Interview

Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt and former First Lady Melania Trump agreed that God may have been responsible for “sparing” former President Donald Trump from death at the hands of an assassin.

On Thursday’s  edition of Fox & Friends, Earhardt rolled out her exclusive interview with Melania — her first in more than two years — over the course of two segments.

In one exchange, Earhardt asked about the involvement of a “higher power” in keeping Trump from being killed — a popular premise among Trump supporters and allies:

AINSLEY EARHARDT: So you called him and he didn’t answer his phone, and you called the Secret Service. And what did they say?

MELANIA TRUMP: First, the Secret Service was not available to because they were with him. Right. And then after that, I got the Secret Service on the phone, and they said that he’s okay. We, on the way to the hospital, we, we he will be okay.

AINSLEY EARHARDT: And what, were you able to talk to him on the phone?

MELANIA TRUMP: Yes I did, I did.

AINSLEY EARHARDT: And then your son rushes into the room, and he had been told. Your son is in college. I understand, but he’s still your child. This is his father, How difficult was that to have that conversation?

MELANIA TRUMP: Very difficult. Very difficult. He was outside playing sport and and, he rushed in and, was very, very difficult.

AINSLEY EARHARDT: And then a few weeks later, there’s another attempt on your husband’s life at your golf course. Where were you and what was your reaction to this attempt?

MELANIA TRUMP: I was, in New York City, actually. And, I, I saw it, on the television. And as soon as I saw it on television, I called again. And,, he was okay, because Secret Service were great. The guys that they were his team, they were fantastic. And, I think both of the events, they were really, miracles, if you really think about it. July 13th, it was a miracle like that match. And he could, you know, he could not be with us.

AINSLEY EARHARDT: And he normally doesn’t call for that one screen he gave us till the end of the speech. So just looking at that screen allowed him to turn his head. Yeah. And he said it was providential. Did you does this make you believe in it more in a higher power? Yeah. How has that been for you?

MELANIA TRUMP: I think something was watching over him. I think he’s, I it’s almost like, the country really needs him.

AINSLEY EARHARDT: (NODS) That maybe God’s sparing his life.

MELANIA TRUMP: Yes. Yes.
