Trump Campaign Spox Claims Billionaire Ex-Pres is Persecuted By ‘Two-Tier’ System That Protects — The Rich?

The Trump Campaign’s National Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, argued that the same “two-tier system of justice” that persecutes her billionaire boss actually favors the rich.

Leavitt spoke with conservative podcaster Benny Johnson about “the media outrage over black voters ditching Joe Biden for Donald Trump,” according to Johnson’s X (formerly Twitter) account.

On Johnson’s In The Arena podcast, the two discussed the controversy over Trump claiming his mugshot makes him “more popular with Black people.”

“Everyone tried to come for Trump. ‘Oh, how dare he!'” Johnson said. “Yet, the audiences are applauding, and Black Americans are swinging like Republican numbers we’ve never seen before. And, all the data shows that Trump’s right about that!”

Leavitt agreed, “President Trump’s message is resonating with the African-American community. They see the truth about these witch hunts that are being led against the former president.” She continued:

They see that we have a two-tier system of justice in this nation that goes after certain types of people who are close to the elite and the lawyers and the prosecutors and the mainstream media, and then protects those that, you know, have all the connections and the money and the power. And, you made a great point, Benny: if they can do this to President Trump, the former president of the United States, one of the richest and arguably, one of the most famous person on the planet, then what can they can do to people who have little means to fight back against the weaponization of our justice system.

Leavitt ran for Congress as a Republican in 2022, attempting to become the youngest person in the House of Representatives as a 25-year old, but lost in the general election. She was named National Press Secretary for the Trump campaign in January 2024.
