Trump Plans to Honor Rally Attendee Killed During Assassination Attempt With Memorial At Butler Rally
Former President Donald Trump plans to honor the rally attendee who was killed during his assassination attempt in July by displaying a memorial where he sat.
The seat where Buffalo fireman Corey Comperatore sat with his family on July 13 will display his fireman’s jacket and helmet at Trump’s Saturday rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The former president has returned to the Butler Farm Show ground following the attempt against his life.
Comperatore, 50, was killed by a gunman as he shielded his wife and daughter after shots range at the venue. Two other rally attendees were injured at the rally while a bullet grazed Trump’s ear.

The gunman shot at Trump and the attendees at a nearby building that had not been secured by Secret Service or other law enforcement. Trump’s decision to return to the same rally grounds has garnered a large crowd of supporters with an expected appearance from billionaire Elon Musk.
The memorial for Comperatore comes a day after it was reported Trump was caught on tape making jokes while speaking about his death during a private fundraiser.
