Fox’s Jesse Watters Says His Liberal Mom Didn’t Invite Him to Thanksgiving: ‘She Said It Was a Scheduling Situation’
Fox News host Jesse Watters claimed on Monday he was not invited to his mother’s house for Thanksgiving as “there wasn’t enough room.”
During a segment on President-Elect Donald Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, Watters said, “Since they can’t stop us, we’re not invited to Thanksgiving,” before playing a compilation of liberals arguing against inviting Trump-supporting relatives and friends to Thanksgiving.
In one of the clips, Yale psychiatrist Dr. Amanda Calhoun could be seen telling MSNBC host Joy Reid, “It’s completely fine to not be around those people and to tell them why. You know, to say, ‘I have a problem with the way that you voted because it went against my very livelihood, and I’m not gonna be around you this holiday. I need to take some space for me.'”
Watters reacted, “People are taking some space in the Watters household. I’ll have you know that I was not invited to my mother’s house for Thanksgiving. Apparently, there wasn’t enough room. She said it was a scheduling situation and then, at the last second, invited me to come over on Black Friday. I told her no thanks, I’ll be at Best Buy.”
Watters’ mother – a liberal, like many members of the Fox News host’s family – supported Harris in the election and has repeatedly mocked her son over his support of Trump.
“You should see my mom. Suddenly, she’s a Kamala fanatic – keeps talking about joy,” said Watters after Harris became the 2024 Democratic nominee. “Trump kept one dangerous woman out of the White House, and he can do it again.”
