President Joe Biden tore into former president and his presumptive 2024 rival, Donald Trump, on Wednesday while kicking off his Black voter mobilization effort in Philadelphia.

Biden spoke at private preparatory school Girard College and told Black Americans, “I’m still optimistic, but I need you.” He asked the crowd of supporters, “Are you with me?” The audience stood and shouted back, “Yes.”

At one point during the speech, Biden took aim at some of Trump’s rhetoric surrounding his record with Black Americans.

“And then Trump tells you he’s the greatest president. I love this one. He says he’s the greatest president for Black people in the history of America, including more than Abraham Lincoln,” Biden said as the crowd loudly booed.

“I mean, can you fathom that? Where in Hell?” Biden added as he signed the cross. “Like I said, I think he injected too much of that bleach, think it affected his brain,” Biden joked as the crowd loudly laughed.

Trump made headlines while president for suggesting during a press conference that his administration would look at possibly using bleach to clean Covid-19 from the body. On April 23, 2020 Trump said, “And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning. … It would be interesting to check that.”

Lysol, Dettol, and other bleach makers then put out a statement warning that “under no circumstance should our disinfectant products be administered into the human body.”
