Florida’s Controversial Surgeon General Calls Covid Vaccines ‘The Anti-Christ’ in Bonkers Comments to Steve Bannon
Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo joined former Trump White House advisor Steve Bannon on his hard-right War Room podcast Thursday and railed against the Covid-19 vaccines, which he called the “anti-Christ.”
“Doctor, help me out here for a second. When we’ve had other experts on or other people on from other streaming services or podcasts or whatever, the mainstream media immediately, you know, the Mediaites of the world, the Media Matters. It’s all of sudden, you know, we’re conspiracy theory guys, we’re kooks that we’re talking about, you know, keeping people away from this tremendous vaccine that saved so many lives,” Bannon began, adding:
What evidence do you point to? Because I know you’re a man of science. That’s where you came and took the surgeon general’s — I think you were at UCLA after Harvard. You came and took the surgeon general job under Governor DeSantis because you actually want to get this out into the field. What evidence do you point to that backs up your contention?
“Yeah, well, the great news here is the evidence has been completely provided by the FDA. So it’s their evidence,” Ladapo replied, adding:
And the evidence is a combination of their guidance documents in the past that acknowledged the risk of DNA integration and the need to test for it to make sure you’re not fouling up the human genome. Their evidence is their acknowledgment that there is DNA in there. And that’s been found to be billions of particles, small particles of DNA with each dose in at least one study. And they’ve acknowledged because we asked them specifically whether they have tested for this and they gave a non-answer. They talked about a bunch of other things and they never answered the question, which I infer to mean that they haven’t tested for it.
So it’s literally all their evidence. And I’m not saying frankly, I think it probably does have some integration at some levels with the human genome because these vaccines are honestly, they’re they’re the anti-Christ of all products. So I think it probably does. But I’m not saying it does. I’m saying that they themselves have said you should test for it, and that hasn’t happened and they’ve provided no proof that it’s happened. And that’s that’s so wrong. You know, it’s just complete disrespect to the human genome and the importance of protecting it and preserving it. And that is our connection to God.
Ladapo, who was appointed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), has long been a lightning rod of controversy for claiming the Covid-19 vaccines do not work and would not end the pandemic.
Bannon, whose podcast is very influential with the MAGA base, highlighted one of the key divisions between himself and Trump, who both facilitated the quick creation of the vaccines, rushed them out, and has claimed he “saved 100 million lives worldwide” with them.
“I was able to get something approved that has proven to save a lot of lives,” Trump told an interviewer last summer, adding:
Some people say I saved 100 million lives worldwide, but I was able to get that done in nine months versus five years to twelve years if it ever got [done at all]. I got the FDA to do things that they it it was pretty amazing what we were able to do.
