Fox & Friends’ Lawrence Jones Defends Biden Against ‘Totally Unfair’ Blame Game from Democrats: ‘Kamala Was So Bad!’

Fox & Friends host Lawrence Jones went to bat for President Joe Biden Thursday amid reports that some Democrats are blaming him for Vice President Kamala Harris’s election loss.

Harris’s campaign ran a 100-day sprint after Biden ended his bid in July following pressure from senior Democrats and donors over his disastrous CNN debate performance against Trump. Now, some are pointing to Biden’s initial decision to run as the reason for Trump’s electoral victory. Biden had initially made a one-term pledge in 2019 before choosing to run again — and then ultimately withdrawing in July following his widely-panned debate performance in June.

CNN reported on Wednesday that some senior campaign officials had begun pointing the finger at the president.

After Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy reported on the blame game to the hosts, Jones launched out in defense of Biden while attacking Harris as simply a “bad” candidate. He said:

I think it’s totally unfair of the Democrats to blame Joe Biden for all of this. First of all, you all used him and then when you all didn’t need to use him anymore, you all got rid of him. Also the whole plan of Joe Biden was for him to only serve one term. That’s what he said, but Kamala was so bad. She was so bad. So he could not pass the torch. And as we have seen since this election why she was so bad.

Co-host Brian Kilmeade suggested that the 2022 midterms had given Biden a false confidence that tempted him to run in 2024.

Rounding again in defense of Biden, Jones added: “And the Democrats supported him too, until the debate performance.”
