‘Enormous Insubordination!’ Fox News Anchors Hammer NBC Talent For Condemning Ronna McDaniel Hiring
Fox News anchors Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino were shocked at the public airing of grievances happening at NBC over the weekend after the hiring of former RNC chair Ronna McDaniel, with Hemmer calling it “enormous insubordination.”
Since McDaniel’s hiring, Chuck Todd, Joe Scarborough, and Mike Brzezinski have all publicly criticized their network’s decision, calling McDaniel and election denier and pushing for the network to reverse their decision.
“Turn this around. If somebody said this at Fox News, they’d be walked out the door,” Hemmer said on America’s Newsroom on Monday after watching clips of Scarborough and others trashing McDaniel’s hiring.
“Yeah, this is unbelievable,” Kayleigh McEnany, who worked as Donald Trump’s White House press secretary before joining Fox, said.
“This is enormous insubordination,” Hemmer added.
McEnany said she was surprised to see Todd’s reaction to McDaniel’s hiring.
“You would expect something like this from Joe Scarborough. He’s a far-left opinion commentator, but I was really disappointed to hear Chuck Todd, someone who is a journalist, comment on this in that fashion,” she said.
McEnany argued McDaniel represents a “wing” of the Republican Party that is not represented on MSNBC.
“If you can’t accept her, who would you accept?” she asked.
Perino added to her colleague Hemmer’s reaction, saying she was floored to see employees publicly criticizing their employer.
“I was thinking the same thing, Bill. If you have a problem with your employer, you do that publicly? I would never do that,” she said. “If you have a problem — they are so willing to stick with their ideology and to be so rigid in it that they’re willing to do that to their employer. Quite remarkable.”
