‘Outrageous!’ Fox’s Dana Perino Scolds Biden Administration Over Asking For Interview Edits

Fox News anchor Dana Perino sharply criticized the Biden administration for asking a Wisconsin radio station to make edits to an interview conducted with President Joe Biden.

Anchor Bill Hemmer covered the story by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and played the parts of the interview with Civic Radio’s Earl Ingram that were edited out. Civic Radio released a statement on Thursday to admit the error in their editorial judgment, saying that “the production team at the time viewed the edits as non-substantive and broadcast and published the interview with two short segments removed” and adding that the company “disagrees with the team’s judgments in the moment, both with respect to the handling of the interview questions and the decision to edit the interview audio.” They also released the full interview with the deleted parts included.

This was one of two instances of recent radio interviews with Biden that involved requests from the campaign. Philadelphia’s WURD radio station parted ways with host Andrea Lawful-Sanders after she revealed that she asked pre-approved questions supplied by the Biden campaign.

Perino appeared to be fed up with the campaign trying to control the narrative and sharply rebuked the Biden team for meddling:

Perino: It’s outrageous. First of all, the station shouldn’t have done it.

Hemmer: That’s right.

Perino: Yes, that’s true, but the Biden campaign should knock it off. Stop trying to do that and hurting people that you are obviously friends with in the media. You’re just making things worse for them. Stop it.
