CNN Commentator Says Doug Emhoff Should Wear MAGA ‘Crappy Jew’ Attack as a ‘Badge of Honor’

CNN political commentator Catherine Rampell advised Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff to wear accusations of being a “bad Jew” as a “badge of honor” after former President Donald Trump was heard agreeing with a conservative radio host that Emhoff was a “crappy Jew.”

During an appearance on New York radio host Sid Rosenberg’s show, Monday, Trump accused Vice President Kamala Harris of disliking Jewish people, before adding, “If you Jewish, if you vote for a Democrat, you’re a fool, an absolute fool.”

Noting the fact that Harris’ husband, Emhoff, was Jewish himself, Rosenberg replied, “He’s a crappy Jew, he’s a horrible Jew.”

“Yeah,” replied Trump, who claimed last week that Harris was “totally against the Jewish people.”

Reacting to the remarks on CNN NewsNight, Tuesday, Rampell said, “As the resident crappy Jew at this table, I would like to say that Doug Emhoff should wear this as a badge of honor. You know? To be called a bad Jew by Donald Trump, like what higher praise could there be.”

She concluded, “Spinoza was considered a bad Jew. Like, you know, Einstein was considered a bad Jew. That’s pretty good company to be in, however vile his comments may be, you know? Wear it as a badge of honor.”

Trump has repeatedly attacked Jewish Democrats for not voting Republican and complained on Sunday about not receiving enough support from Jewish Americans.

“I do all these things. No president has ever been so good to Israel by far as I have, and I got 26%,” he protested. “I went from 25 to 26%.”
