Trump Posts Bizarre AI-Generated Meme Of Himself With Canadian Flag — Standing On A Swiss Mountain

President-elect Donald Trump posted an AI-generated image of himself standing beside the Canadian flag on a snow-capped mountain Tuesday.

The cryptic post appeared to reference a joke Trump made during a dinner on Friday with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Mar-a-Lago, suggesting that if his tariffs crashed the country’s economy then Canada would be welcomed as the 51st state.

According to sources cited by Fox News, Trudeau responded with nervous laughter, while Trump doubled down on the gag. He went as far as to tell Trudeau that “prime minister” sounded much better than “governor.”

The lighthearted exchange didn’t end there. A fellow diner joked that any Canadian state would lean heavily liberal, which reportedly prompted more laughter from the room. Trump reportedly entertained the table with a suggestion that Canada be split into two states: one liberal and one conservative.

Taking to TruthSocial on Tuesday, the president-elect doubled down on his joke with the image and caption: “Oh Canada.”

However, sharp-eyed users quickly noted the backdrop wasn’t Canada—rather it was the Swiss Alps, with the peak looming in the distance appearing to be Matterhorn, which straddles the border between Italy and Switzerland

Some of Trump’s allies have run with the idea. On Fox News’ The Five host Jesse Watters called the proposal a “no-brainer,” citing Canada’s vast oil reserves.

“I don’t know if Canada is going to go along with it, but there’s ways to maybe change their opinion,” Watters quipped.

Whether the AI image was meant to extend the joke or distract from serious policy concerns remains unclear.
