‘100% Made Up Hoax!’ Fox & Friends Float Beyonce Fake News Scheme Designed to Improve Kamala Harris Speech Ratings

Reports that Beyonce was making a surprise appearance at Thursday night’s DNC were false. Fox & Friends was not only angry, but they smelled a rat.

Thursday night was the culmination of a successful Democratic National Convention, ending with Vice President Kamala Harris formally accepting her party’s nomination in a surprisingly concise speech of only 37 minutes.

Throughout the day, rumors and reports surfaced that a secret block of time had been reserved for a surprise guest. For example, several reliable reporters, like CNN’s Jamie Gangel, shared whispers that the massive pop star would appear and/or perform before the Vice President’s speech. Turns out, Beyonce was never booked, and the only sort of “surprise guest” was a taped bit of NBA star Steph Curry.

Friday morning’s post-DNC reaction on Fox & Friends featured some co-hosts who were NOT happy with the apparent bait and switch. They suggested that the Harris campaign’s apparent “phoniness” will undermine the “joy” felt by potential voters, especially those with low information.

“Does the whole joy thing really impact the low-information voter?” Will Cain asked rhetoricaly. An “and let’s not overlook — and I’m not even going to condescend to the low-information voter  — I’m just acknowledging there’s a lot of people in America that’s going to go with this on vibes, but that’s balanced against phoniness.”

“Do they read Kamala as the phony one?” he continued. “Talk about phony for a moment. All the talk yesterday was Beyonce. Where was Beyonce? Beyonce at the DNC! Beyonce was…Was that a bait and switch? There was no Beyonce was. I used to pump up the ratings so more people would see Kamala. I mean, talk about phony … No Beyonce. But I guess more eyeballs at the DNC, Lawrence.”

“100%, It was a made up hoax from the very beginning,” Lawrence Jones replied. “The representative came out who’s been her long time rebel who said there was never any talk about Beyonce being there, but it definitely got a lot of people to show up because I saw a lot of people that were there just for Beyonce.”
