House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) threatened to hold Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis in contempt of Congress unless she cooperates with his investigation.

The Ohio lawmaker sent a letter to Willis on Thursday claiming that if she does not hand over all documents in relation to a House investigation over allegations that she misused federal funds that the committee “will consider taking further action, such as the invocation of contempt of Congress proceeding,” according to ABC News.

Jordan warned the Trump prosecutor that she has until March 28 to comply with the document’s subpoena. Back on February 2, the Judiciary Committee issued a subpoena to Willis for documents regarding her office’s use of federal funds that were intended to support at-risk youth.

“While you have indicated that additional documents may be forthcoming in response to the Committee’s subpoena, the Committee has yet to receive any additional responsive materials in the three weeks since your initial response,” Jordan wrote. “Accordingly, the Committee expects that you will produce all responsive documents to the subpoena in the categories prioritized by the Committee no later than 12:00 p.m. on March 28, 2024.”

Jordan noted that the committee wants to review documents that show receipts and use of federal grant funds given by the Department of Justice. In addition, the committee wants to review any documents with communications referring to the misuse of those federal funds.

Willis has denied any wrongdoing in prior statement given after the February subpoena.

“Our federal grant programs are focused on helping at-risk youth and seeking justice for sexual assault victims who were too long ignored,” Willis said in a statement back in February. “Our federal grant-funded Sexual Assault Kit Initiative has been cited by the United States Attorney General as a model program.”

Jordan’s letter comes as Willis faces the possibility of being removed off the Georgia case prosecuting former President Donald Trump due to allegations regarding a conflict of interest arising from her relationship with fellow attorney Nathan Wade.
