Fox’s Brian Kilmeade Keeps Cutting In As Pete Buttigieg Fires Anti-Trump Barrage On Antisemitism
Fox News host Brian Kilmeade made several rapid-fire interjections as Harris campaign surrogate Sec. Pete Buttigieg bombarded former President Donald Trump over his history with Jewish voters and anti-Semitism on Tuesday.
Going into Election Day, the dominant storylines are the bombshell Des Moines Register poll showing Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of Trump in Iowa, and the dizzying sprint of swing state rallies that spit out viral moments at breakneck speed.
Meanwhile, campaign surrogates hit the airwaves in a last-ditch attempt to move the needle, if only microscopically.
On Tuesday’s edition of Fox & Friends, Buttigieg — who appears on Fox News with relative frequency — got into several contentious exchanges with Kilmeade on issues like manufacturing jobs and electric vehicles.
But things really escalated in the final minute when Kilmeade broached the subject of the Israel-Hamas War, and Buttigieg began a rapid-fire attack on Trump for “welcoming” and “standing with” anti-Semites, as well as his treatment of Muslims:
BRIAN KILMEADE: 30 seconds left. How do you convince 100,000 uncommitted? How do you convince a thousand who voted uncommitted for instead of Joe Biden to vote for you? 20 seconds.
PETE BUTTIGIEG: Well, you know, Donald Trump proposed a Muslim ban. So I think Muslim voters should think twice about voting for him–.
BRIAN KILMEADE: Tell that to the two mayors who endorsed him–.
PETE BUTTIGIEG: –and of course he stood with anti-Semites. And I think Jewish voters–. Yeah, two mayors may not agree–
BRIAN KILMEADE: Do you think he’s anti-Semitic?
PETE BUTTIGIEG: But what I’m saying is–.
BRIAN KILMEADE: Do you think Donald Trump is anti-Semitic?
PETE BUTTIGIEG: He has definitely welcomed anti-Semites.
BRIAN KILMEADE: (OVERTALKING) He should go tell his daughter, who’s Jewish. He definitely stood with anti-Semites, welcomed them to Mar-a-Lago and made excuses for them.
BRIAN KILMEADE: Do you really think he’s anti-Semitic? Is he anti-Israel too?
PETE BUTTIGIEG: Well, let me tell you, a guy who invites Holocaust deniers to come to Mar-a-Lago with him just like a guy who chooses 9/11, of all days, to bring a 9/11 truther with him
BRIAN KILMEADE: (OVERTALKING) Is there– Is there anybody watching that think he’s anti-Semitic?
PETE BUTTIGIEG: Is somebody we gotta think twice about.
BRIAN KILMEADE: All right, Mr. Mayor, thank you very much. Appreciate it. Best of luck. All right.
PETE BUTTIGIEG: Thank you.
BRIAN KILMEADE: Back in a moment.
