Meghan McCain Blasts ‘The View’ For Not Having Pro-Trump Host: ‘Radical Progressive Insane Asylum’
Meghan McCain slammed The View this week for not having a pro-Trump co-host while labeling the daytime show a “radical progressive insane asylum.”
McCain was a co-host on the ABC show from the start of Donald Trump’s first term in office in 2017 until 2021. During her tenure, McCain famously got into heated debates with some of the show’s more liberal co-hosts, including Joy Behar.
Following Trump’s resounding win in the presidential election earlier this week, McCain has criticized the show and the network for not having a diversity of opinion regarding Trump.
“It is actual malfeasance on the part of ABC news that there isn’t one single conservative woman on The View this morning who voted for Trump or simply isn’t repulsed by his supporters to explain to America why he is still so popular,” McCain wrote on X, formerly Twitter, a day after the election.

On Friday, McCain further attacked the show by claiming it had turned into a “radical progressive insane asylum” which she claims contributed to why she left.
“Respectfully, please stop sending me clips from The View,” she wrote. “It’s a radical progressive insane asylum and that is why I left years ago.”
McCain was famously anti-Trump during her tenure on The View and announced earlier this year that she would not be voting for Kamal Harris or Trump in the November election.
