Liberal YouTuber Fumes At Democratic Leaders For Ignoring New Media On the Left: ‘Still Give All The Juicy Interviews to MSM’

Popular YouTuber Brian Tyler Cohen took to X following Vice President Kamala Harris’s resounding defeat to now President-Elect Donald Trump and fumed at Democratic Party leaders for not taking new media on the left more seriously.

“Republicans have a rightwing media ecosystem that repeats GOP talking points over and over, ad nauseam, until they’re seared into your cerebral cortexes. Not only is there no equivalent on the left, but plenty of D politicians still refuse to bolster independent progressive creators,” began Tyler Cohen.

Notably, many pundits and observers dubbed this past election the “podcast” election as Trump used the powerful network of right-leaning podcasts and YouTube shows to activate his base.

“They still give all juicy interviews to MSM, still break news on MSM, still pretend MSM is on our “team.” They’re not, and in fact bend over backwards NOT to be viewed as the liberal media. Dem politicians could benefit from validating the very progressive outlets that are actually doing the work to support them,” argued Tyler Cohen.

In a subsequent post he added, “Sometimes I have to beg elected officials’ offices for MONTHS for a 10-min interview, only to see them pop up on cable news multiples times a week. Most people don’t consume news via tv! And the ones who do are already high-info voters who are already on board! It shouldn’t be this hard to seek validation from the very people whose agenda we’re trying to promote.”
